Fire and Smoke Restoration

When a fire happens, you do not always see how far the smoke and soot have travelled until you start moving things around. Soot is very fine and requires special cleaning techniques to remove from surfaces properly. Fires leave an odour that can imbed itself into porous materials. It is important to call in experts after a fire as they can clean building materials, furniture, and finishes that have not been scorched by a fire as well as help in controlling/removing odours.

Fires start for many reasons and there are multiple things to consider when a fire happens:

  1. Cause of the fire.
  2. Health effects of the residue.
  3. How much residue remains.
  4. How long has the residue been left prior to the start of the cleaning process.

Among other considerations, the above is important in determining how to clean a structure. Always call in an expert after a fire, no matter how small. An expert will be able to properly clean and/or remove the affected structure and content.
